NEW YORK: Anonymous Site Threatens To Out GOP State Sen. George Maziarz
Joe.My.God. reports:

An anonymous website is threatening to out New York GOP state Sen. George Maziarz, who voted against marriage equality every time it came up. The site includes a countdown clock promising to expose Mariarz in eleven days. I’ve read no rumors about Maziarz, who is married to a woman, so the site may be just a very cheap election ploy. He’s best known legislatively for creating New York’s version of Megan’s Law, which tracks the whereabouts of convicted sex offenders. Maziarz will face Democratic newcomer Amy Hope Witryol in November and he has been forecast to win reelection easily.VIDEO: Here’s Maziarz responding to a question about marriage equality during a 2009 town hall in his Niagara County home district.

Closet Case Ed Koch: Imprisoned Russian Punkers Pussy Riot Are As Bad As ACT UP
Joe.My.God. reports:

Former NYC mayor and closeted homosexual Ed Koch has penned an editorial praising the imprisonment of Pussy Riot, saying the jailed Russian punkers are as bad as ACT UP, who also once demonstrated inside a Catholic cathedral. You may recall that Koch and ACT UP tangled many times during his 80s reign as mayor when he resisted their calls for action. Koch writes:
The Western cultural elite is rallying to the defense of the disrupters in the cathedral. Some approve of the verbal attack on Putin. Others support the denunciation of the Russian Orthodox church leadership and the church disruption because of the church leadership support of Putin. All cited characterize the issue as one of free speech. I do not. I would assume that many Pussy Riot supporters would take a different position, and rightly so, if here in the U.S. a black church were invaded and three men or women engaged in comparable conduct insulting holy places within the church and the pastor. I recall when I was Mayor in 1989 and the AIDS activist group Act Up, unjustifiably angry with John Cardinal O’Connor, invaded St. Patrick’s Cathedral and interrupted the Mass, throwing the Communion wafers – which for Catholics are the actual Body of Christ – to the floor. Some were arrested. So far as I can recall, no one was punished. I think the decision of the Russian court to punish a hate crime was just and to be applauded, rather than condemned and ridiculed. One can argue concerning the degree of punishment, whether fines rather than jail time should have been imposed, but that is a function of the Russian penalty procedures.
Famed activist and ACT UP founder Larry Kramer once wrote of encountering Koch while Kramer was walking his dog. As the then mayor leaned over to pet the dog, Kramer said, “That’s the man who killed all of Daddy’s friends.”RELATED: Another well-known AIDS activist tips me today that when the Independent Film Channel yesterday invited Koch to a Manhattan screening of the AIDS documentary,How To Survive A Plague, Koch abruptly unsubscribed to the IFC mailing list, to which he’d belonged for years.

ATLANTA: Bishop Eddie Long’s School To Close After Gay Affairs Scandal

Joe.My.God. reports:

He paid settlements to four young men, his wife filed for divorce, and now Bishop Eddie Long’s New Birth Academy has abruptly announced that it will close before the end of the school year.

The letter sent to the parents of students cited decreased donations and enrollment, as well as a bad economy, as the reason for the closing. It also said that school officials would help parents find other schools to enroll their children for the duration of the 2011-2012 school year. Although the school denies any connection between the decision to close and the many recent scandals connected to Eddie Long, some parents are skeptical. “I don’t believe that. I believe that this last straw with the divorce, the sealed settlement, it just does not look good,” said one parent to WSB TV Channel 2.
Long will have to console himself with his Bentley, his private jet, his sprawling mansion, and the many millions that he extorted from his former fans.

NEW YORK: Closeted State Sen. Carl Kruger To Plead Guilty To Corruption

Joe.My.God. reports:

New York state Sen. Carl Kruger will plead guilty to federal corruption charges that he took over $1 million in bribe offers to fund an extravagant lifestyle which included a garish waterfront mansion, a luxury yacht, and a Bentley. Kruger’s gynecologist boyfriend is also expected to plead guilty. The pair was effectively outed by the New York Times in March.

Mr. Kruger, an influential Democrat and 16-year legislator, was expected to plead guilty to four of the five counts in the indictment, according to two of the people. The charges include fraud conspiracy, for which he could face up to 20 years in prison, and bribery conspiracy, which carries a maximum term of five years. The two people said Mr. Turano, also charged with all five counts, was expected to plead guilty to a single bribery conspiracy count, for which he would face a maximum of five years in prison. Mr. Kruger’s lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said Mr. Kruger and Mr. Turano were scheduled to appear before the presiding judge in the case, Jed S. Rakoff of Federal District Court in Manhattan, on Tuesday afternoon; he would not discuss the details of what was expected to transpire. If he pleads guilty to a felony, Mr. Kruger will automatically lose his job.
RELATED: Kruger was one of the eight traitorous Senate Democrats who voted against same-sex marriage in 2009, leading gay activists to denounce him as a self-hating closet case and picket outside of his home. The mainstream media took little notice at the time. However Kruger did vote in favor of marriage equality this year, perhaps because by then he’d already been outed. He has never publicly addressed his sexual orientation.

Secret Conference Held To “Save Exodus International” From Ruin

Ex-Gay Watch

Exodus President Alan Chambers called a meeting together this past November 16.  The subject was quite simply how to keep Exodus International from social and financial oblivion.  In attendance were Exodus leadership, prominent religious leaders (such as Gabe Lyons) and lay people.  The latter were mostly those who once counted themselves in the ex-gay camp but now are either in the process of changing their views or are fully gay affirming. We had been following odd activity at Exodus for some time.  It was clear that something was up but only after being contacted by some of those directly involved did our speculation clarify into fact.  The past couple of years have seen Exodus cut it’s staff, lose key alliances, and suffer from a general moderation in American views toward homosexuality.  So difficult has this been for them that they have increased efforts abroad where there exists less formal opposition to their message — that living a gay affirming life is sinful, wrong and unhealthy, and change is the only way to truly please God.Three years ago, Exodus purchased a building for a little over $1.1 Million.  This was at the height of the real estate bubble and it’s value must have decreased significantly since.  While they seem to have shed as many of their obligations as possible, debt service for that building must be a great draw on their meager resources.  According to IRS documents, they burned through $200,000 of their savings in 2010 alone.  In short, if they continue on their current trajectory, there seems little doubt that Exodus will fold in the near future.Knowing this, Chambers called the New York meeting together and posed the question, “how can we save Exodus?”  Unfortunately for those of us who might have a glimmer of hope to the contrary, this plea does not seem to be based on any deep, inner change of heart or ideology.  According to first person accounts, the emphasis was on how to make Exodus more “donor accessible.”  The meeting was filled with the modern lingo of those who advise on the solicitation of charitable funds.  This is about money.Chamber’s apparently wishes to “re-brand” Exodus into something more palatable to those with funds to give, and the general public alike.  According to our sources, Chambers said that “everything is on the table.”  That everything apparently includes the possibility of his resignation.  It was also clear from the meeting that this is their last resort, their “Hail Mary” so to speak — they’ve tried everything else.  Indeed, it seems certain that Chambers would have made pleas to anyone he knew with money before taking this drastic action.  And we’ve all seen the odd inconsistencies apparent in their public face.  Exodus is an organization fumbling for a solution.Chambers mentioned how struck he was by the response to John Smid’s recent change in direction, particularly his apology.  He seems to think that doing something similar might be one way that Exodus could gain some positive attention.  Don’t forget, everything is on the table.  We have confirmed that Smid has been in contact with Chambers recently, and has plans for more discussions in the future. It has been our understanding that there is no love lost on Smid by Chambers, so any future corroboration would likely have a more practical basis. While more detail may come in a future post, we know that Chambers plans to make some announcements at the Exodus Leadership Conference in January, 2012. Speakers unusual for such an event have been invited, along with a church communications expert who was also present at the meeting.  It may be through their voices that Chambers will frame the plan for re-branding Exodus. It will be after this conference that Exodus announces whatever it is they decide, presumably some sort of apology which allows them to maintain their core ideology, while claiming to have gone about expressing it badly — too much truth and not enough grace, etc.  Perhaps they will take on the name of the title holding company they created when they purchased the building, The Worthen Legacy Group.  Chambers seems to be enthralled by The End of Sexual Identity lately, so that might also provide a clue to their new direction. Our sources would speak on the record only on condition of anonymity, however after cross-checking we feel confident that what we have chosen to report is sound. We agree with their reasons for wishing to remain anonymous, at least for the time being. In the coming months when you hear of changes from Exodus, or some event that seems heartfelt and spontaneous, or whatever this re-branding may eventually consist of, remember what got the ball rolling — money.

We had been following odd activity at Exodus for some time.  It was clear that something was up but only after being contacted by some of those directly involved did our speculation clarify into fact.  The past couple of years have seen Exodus cut it’s stafflose key alliances, and suffer from a general moderation in American views toward homosexuality.  So difficult has this been for them that they have increased efforts abroad where there exists less formal opposition to their message — that living a gay affirming life is sinful, wrong and unhealthy, and change is the only way to truly please God.

COLORADO: Busted! Ex-“Sheriff Of The Year” Traded Chrystal Meth For Gay Sex

Queerty reports:

Poor Pat Sullivan. Until yesterday, the 68-year-old Colorado retired police officer had a distinguished career as a national “Sheriff Of the Year” honoree with the local clink named after him. But now Mr. Sullivan sits holed up in a lonely jail cell in his namesake—the Patrick J. Sullivan, Jr. Detention Center—deprived of meth and gay sex.According to the Denver Post:

Drug task-force officers were “visually monitoring” the deal when the 68-year-old former national Sheriff of the Year delivered methamphetamine to an Aurora home and sought sex in return, said current Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson.
“This shows that no one is above the law, particularly a current or a former peace officer,” Robinson said.
Robinson said Sullivan had an ongoing relationship with the man as well as other men he had a history of bonding out of jails in the metro region.
Sullivan is being held on $250,000 bail in the jail that bears his name, the Patrick J. Sullivan Jr. Detention Facility. He was sheriff from 1984 until his retirement in 2002.

Joe.My.God. reports:

Last night David Letterman made some cracks about Michele Bachmann which included jabs at Ladybird: “And if you’re a homosexual, her husband will take care of ya. He’s got a thing, a camp or a clinic or something. And if you’re a homosexual and you feel you’re in the need of some special treatment or counseling, he’ll take care of you.” Towleroadreports that Letterman’s bit about Mr. Bachmann have been deleted from the web archive of the show. YouTube’s still got it, for now.
