Music Mogul Clive Davis Comes Out As Bisexual
USA Today reports:

Davis, who is twice divorced, remains close to his family, which includes three sons, a daughter and six grandchildren, and to friends, with whom he vacations regularly.Soundtrack's aforementioned personal revelation acknowledges “something that my children and close friends have always known, but that I knew I would need to discuss in a biography”: He considers himself bisexual."After my second marriage failed, I met a man who was also grounded in music. Having only had loving relationships and sexual intimacy with women, I opened myself up to the possibility that I could have that with a male, and found that I could."Davis is currently involved with another man (who isn’t in show business), “but I never stopped being attracted to women. Bisexuality is misunderstood; the adage is that you’re either straight or gay or lying, but that’s not my experience. To call me anything other than bisexual would be inaccurate.”

Davis has earned multiple Grammy awards and was inducted as a non-performer into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. He’s credited for launching the careers of many legends, including Whitney Houston.

Frank Ocean Praised For Coming Out As Bisexual Through His Music
Pink News UK reports:

Musician Frank Ocean has revealed his first love was with another man when he was 19, receiving praise from those in the music industry for coming out while beginning to forge a successful career as a hip-hop artist.Originally intended for the cover notes of an upcoming album, Ocean pre-empted the release by writing about the experience on his Tumblr page, confirming rumours he said had been circling about his sexual orientation.Ocean, 24, is known for the hits Novacane and Swim Good and is due to release the debut album this month. He wrote: “4 summers ago, I met somebody. I was 19 years old. He was too. We spent that summer, and the summer after, together. Everyday almost. And on the days we were together, time would glide. Most of the day I’d see him, and his smile. I’d hear his conversation and his silence … until it was time to sleep. Sleep I would often share with him. By the time I realized I was in love, it was malignant. It was hopeless. There was no escaping. No negotiating with the feeling. No choice. It was my first love. It changed my life.”He added: “I sat there and told my friend how I felt. I wept as the words left my mouth. I grieved for them, knowing I could never take them back for myself. He patted my back. He said kind things. He did his best, but he wouldn’t admit the same. He had to go back inside soon. It was late and his girlfriend was waiting for him upstairs.“He wouldn’t tell me the truth about his feelings for me for another 3 years. I felt like I’d only imagined reciprocity for years. Now imagine being thrown from a cliff. No, I wasn’t on a cliff, I was still in my car telling myself it was gonna be fine and to take deep breaths. I took the breaths and carried on. I kept up a peculiar friendship with him because I couldn’t imagine keeping up my life without him. I struggled to master myself and my emotions. I wasn’t always successful.”Thanking those people who he says “kept him alive” after telling them his story, he writes: “To my first love. I’m grateful for you. Grateful that even though it wasn’t what I hoped for and even though it was never enough, it was.”Russell Simmons wrote for Global Grind: “Today is a big day for hip-hop. It is a day that will define who we really are. How compassionate will we be? How loving can we be? How inclusive are we? […] Your decision to go public about your sexual orientation gives hope and light to so many young people still living in fear.”Tyler, the Creator, a band-made of Ocean’s in Odd Future, wrote on Twitter: “My Big Brother Finally Fuckking Did That. Proud Of That N***a Cause I Know That Shit Is Difficult Or Whatever. Anyway. Im A Toilet.”Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters said: “Go on Frank Ocean”, while Pete Wentz suggested his fans “be brave and real like Frank Ocean”.

Tyler The Creator, the leader of Odd Future (collective of which Ocean is part of), who’s been criticized for virulently anti-gay lyrics, has tweeted about this, in his very special touchy way:

Adele’s Bisexual Ex-Boyfriend Dumped Her For Gay Best Friend, New Biography Claims
The Huffington Post reports:

The heartbreak that inspired Adele to pen her Grammy-award-winning music was inspired by an ex-boyfriend who left her for her gay friend, a new biography claims.
The doomed relationship is the focus of “Adele: The Biography,” an unauthorized tome which also traces the singer-songwriter’s early childhood in London. As the Daily Mail reports, author Marc Shapiro pays particular attention to the alleged incident, which took place on Adele’s 18th birthday and went on to inspire her music.
"One thing we know is that it was a first love gone terribly bad," Shapiro writes in the book, quotes from which have been published by the Daily Mail among other publications. “Adele had professed her love and he did the same, she had known he was bisexual but, in the rush of romance, felt they could make it work. Four hours after laying their emotional cards on the table, the boy ran off with one of Adele’s gay friends!”
Interestingly, a 2011 interview in Out magazine also noted that Adele had written two songs, “Hometown Glory” and “Daydreamer,” about a bisexual boy she had fallen in love with, but gave few other details about the relationship. Both of those tracks ended up on the eight-time Grammy Award winner’s 2008 debut album, “19.”
In his book, Shapiro also sheds light on Adele’s alleged drinking problem, noting that she “loved the drama surrounding boys who treated her badly,” from the non-existent relationship with her father to the bisexual boyfriend’s cheating.
"Adele would drink more than normal to salve the heartbreak," Shapiro told In Touch Weekly. He also notes that midway through Adele’s first tour, “she allegedly had a drinking problem.”

Barbra Streisand’s Concert In Brooklyn?
Joe.My.God. reports:

Fan sites are buzzing after Ticketmaster posted then immediately deleted a Barbra Streisand concert date at Brooklyn’s still unfinished Barclays Center.
Ms. Streisand’s name had been scrubbed from Ticketmaster’s Barclays listings. And an eerie and oddly constrained silence was upon the lips of those who could speak to the facts. “We are not confirming this,” said a Barclays spokesman, Barry Baum, when asked if Ms. Streisand was coming. “I cannot confirm anything, on the record, off the record, between the record,” said Ms. Streisand’s longtime spokesman, Ken Sunshine. A spokeswoman for Ticketmaster, Jacqueline Peterson, wrote in an e-mail, “We don’t have anything additional to share.”
Barclays Center, the future home of the Brooklyn Nets, is scheduled for an official opening at the end of September with a concert by Nets co-owner Jay-Z.

“Moron Of The Week" Inductee Bill Donohue: Nicki Minaj Is Possessed
Via The Catholic League’s website:

Minaj’s performance began on stage with a mock confessional skit. This was followed by a taped video depicting a mock exorcism. With stained glass in the background, she appeared on stage again with choir boys and monks dancing. Perhaps the most vulgar part was the sexual statement that showed a scantily clad female dancer stretching backwards while an altar boy knelt between her legs in prayer. Finally, ‘Come All Ye Faithful’ was sung while a man posing as a bishop walked on stage; Minaj was shown levitating. None of this was by accident, and all of it was approved by The Recording Academy, which puts on the Grammys. Whether Minaj is possessed is surely an open question, but what is not in doubt is the irresponsibility of The Recording Academy. Never would they allow an artist to insult Judaism or Islam. It’s bad enough that Catholics have to fight for their rights vis-à-vis a hostile administration in Washington without also having to fend off attacks in the entertainment industry. The net effect, however, will only embolden Catholics, as well as their friends in other faith communities.

I’m liking Minaj even more for pissing off Donohue.
